Which airlines fly from Singapore to Ipoh?
Only Scoot flies direct between Singapore Changi (SIN) and Sultan Azlan Shah Airport in Ipoh (IPH).
- Flights: booking sites in November 2026 show up to three departures a day from Changi, in the early morning, late morning and mid-afternoon, arriving about 1 hour 20 minutes later (checked Nov 2026). Not every day has all three, so check the times on flyscoot.com when you book.
- Fares: outside peak periods, the cheapest one-way fares start from about S$85–110 (checked Nov 2026). Prices change daily, so check flyscoot.com.
Routes that no longer operate:
- AirAsia suspended its Ipoh–Singapore flights in 2025. Sources disagree on whether it was April or May.
- Batik Air launched Ipoh–Singapore in December 2025, cut it from 7 to 4 flights a week from 29 March 2026, and cancelled it from 11 May 2026.
Some older travel sites still list these routes, so check that any flight you find is actually on sale.
Another option via Johor: AirAsia flies direct to Ipoh from Senai (Johor Bahru), usually about one or two flights a day, taking about 1 hour (checked Nov 2026). That may help if Scoot is full or expensive.
Why are Scoot fares so high at Chinese New Year?
With only one airline on the route, fares rise sharply at festive peaks. In October 2026, AsiaOne (republished by Malay Mail) found one-way Singapore–Ipoh Scoot fares of S$734.20 for flights from 30 January to 5 February 2027, the week before Chinese New Year. Fares just before that were S$105.20–241.20, and a festive-period return trip came to at least about S$1,420. Ipoh–Singapore fares peaked at S$686.45 on 8 February 2027. They fell to about S$48–193 from 16 February.
If you are travelling for Chinese New Year, book as early as you can, think about flying a few days either side of the peak, or compare driving and coaches.
